Our vision is to provide a safe, dependable, caring environment for after school childcare where well supervised and organised programmes will keep children occupied and interested.

The programme is available on-site for primary school children from new entrant to year six and operates from 3.00pm to 5.30pm every day of the School term.

The programme is not highly structured but does include indoor & outdoor (weather permitting) activities. Art / craft materials and games for different ages are available and a snack and drink provided on arrival. All activities are well supervised whether indoor or outdoor and time is made available to do homework.

Children may come to the Makarewa School After Care Programme on a regular, semi-casual or casual basis. Please contact the school office for fees.

All the school's rules must be adhered to along with the Makarewa School After Care rules as displayed on the premises.

To join the programme, please contact the school office or talk to the After Care Supervisor’s during programme hours. An enrolment form must be completed for each child, including casuals.
