Invest in your children's future
Makarewa School has a P.T.A. committee who voluntarily get together for the good of the school and our children. The P.T.A. is responsible for organising social activities, fundraising projects, welcoming new families to the school and generally supporting the school. It is an excellent way to become involved in the school and in your child’s education.
Our objective is to:
- Promote a sense of community among the parents, caregivers, teachers and children by organising events where we can all come together
- Raise funds to allow extra resources and items to be purchased to enhance our school and improve the achievement of our children.
Although the PTA is autonomous, we work very closely with the staff, principal and our Board of Trustees to ensure we are all heading in the same direction enabling us to reach our goals.
